This article includes ways to test your new system and ensure caregivers know how to use it.
Once you're set up with Sitter Pro, you may want to do a few 'test runs' to make sure caregivers know how to use the app and help remind them to get set up. Feel free to make adjustments as needed for your team.
Creating the Test booking
1. Create a test service. In the services section, add a new service titled 'Test Service'. For the details be sure the following items are set up so that no credit card is required and nothing is charged:
- Service Fees paid by INVOICE
- Caregiver wages paid by INVOICE
You can then set up the rest of the details and add a base rate, but you don't need to add any add-on fees since this won't be processing anything. Additionally, you'll want to make sure all of the caregivers are assigned to the service to make sure they are eligible to receive the test.
2. Add yourself as a client in the dashboard. If you haven't already, add a new client with your name and contact information. You don't need to fill in all of the information- just your name, email, and cell phone number.
3. Create a job with you listed as the client. For the job details:
- Select the service type as your Test Service
- Put the date far in advance (at least a few weeks)
- Add caregiver notes with this information, but feel free to make edits:
Hi nannies!!! I am setting up a TEST booking to make sure everyone can access job requests through the new Sitter Pro app. When you review this request, please DECLINE it so it stays open for everyone else.
If you haven't already, please download the app here:
Apple app store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/sitter-pro/id1462969450?ls=1
Google play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.sitter.pro&hl=en_US
If you have already downloaded the app, thank you! Please continue to review this request and decline the booking. Once you've reviewed the request, please review and update the rest of your profile.
4. Send to caregivers. After you enter the details of the job, tap on 'Search for caregivers'. Since some people may not have set up their availability, you might not have many/any who fall into the 'Best Matches', so you'll want to manually 'select all' in both the 'best matches' and 'all others' sections. Then you can send it to everyone.
TIP: In the 'All Others' section, you'll be able to see why someone wasn't matched with a job, so you may be able to see if they are missing information from their profile and need to get it set up.
5. Track results. Once it's sent to everyone, you can track who has declined it (and therefore has the app) and the job will stay open for others to look at it instead of it getting accepted by someone. (Note, if someone doesn't follow directions and accepts it, you can cancel and create a new one.)
6. Cancel job. Once enough caregivers have declined the job, you can cancel this job with 'Admin' as the reason for the cancel.
After the test run(s), make sure you check with the team to see if they have any questions or if they need to test it again.
