This article walks through how you can configure your payment methods for both caregiver wages and agency service fees.
When you are creating new services, you will prompted to select how payments should be made for your agency fees and caregiver wages. Each fee has different options on how they can be paid and they do not have to be the same for both of them.
Options for service fees:
- Credit Card* The client's credit card will be automatically charged once they are checked out.
- Invoice You will manually create an invoice for the client and have them pay outside of the Sitter Pro system.
Options for caregiver wages
- Cash/Cash The client will pay the caregiver their wages directly with cash/check/Venmo/etc. The app will still calculate the amount due for the caregiver.
- Credit Card/Auto-Deposit* The client’s credit card is automatically charged at the end of the job and the caregiver fees are deposited into their bank account.
- Credit Card/Payroll* The client’s credit card is automatically charged at the end of the job and the caregiver fees are sent to the business to be processed for payroll later (payroll then need to be manually processed and given to the caregiver).
- Invoice/Payroll The client is invoiced for the caregiver’s wage and then the business will process their wages by payroll.
*All payments made through credit card will incur credit card processing fees that are paid by the business.
These payment methods are independent of each other and do not need to be the same across the fees. Below are a few examples of how it can be configured (but not limited to these):
- Service Fees: Credit Card | Caregiver Wages: Cash
- Service Fees: Credit Card | Caregiver Wages: Credit Card/Auto-deposit
- Service Fees: Invoice | Caregiver Wages: Cash
