This article walks through how to modify a booking while it is pending or confirmed and things to consider when modifying the booking.
There may be scenarios where a client needs to change different aspects of their booking and you can can do this in the admin dashboard while the job is in pending and confirmed status.
Modifying a Job
If a client needs to modify a job, you have the ability to change the following fields:
- Service
- Address
- Start/End Time
- Special Considerations
- Number of dependents/children
- Ages of children
- Notes to caregiver
- Internal Notes
To make the modification, go to the booking details screen, tap on the 'Actions' drop-down and select 'Modify Job'. On this screen, update the information you'd like to change and tap on 'Save'. Then the booking will be updated with this information and caregivers will be able to see it in the app.
Keep in mind:
- If you are modifying a pending job and it has already been sent to caregivers, there may be some people who received the request who are no longer qualified/available for the job. They will see the updates, but still have the ability to accept the job.
- If you are modifying a confirmed job, it may impact whether or not the current caregiver is still a good fit for the job. If the time/location is being changed, you'll want to make sure the caregiver is still able to take the job. If special considerations are being changed, you'll need to make sure the caregiver is still qualified for the job and reassign it if they aren't.
- If you are changing the service or special considerations, it may change the price of the job and the quote that the client originally saw will be different.
